It is just over two months until the FORS Members Conference exhibit for 2018. The conference has come around so quickly, it seems like only yesterday we were exhibiting at the show last year.
The conference itself is free for delegates to attend and always proves to be a big success. Each year a different theme is the focus of discussion, last year it was ‘compliance’ while this year the main theme is ’10 years of evolving practice’ which celebrates FORS 10 year anniversary. The requirements to gain FORS accreditation have continually changed to match the latest regulations and best practice standards. However, the main aim has always been consistent though which is to improve driving standards, efficiency and operational performance. The 10 year anniversary will bring a change version 5.0 of the FORS Standard will be released, this is a re-write of the initial standard which is aimed at making the requirements clearer for operators, as well as this it will also include a wider variety of vehicles.
We enjoyed our time exhibiting and networking at the FORS Members Conference in 2017, as a result when we were asked if we wanted to exhibit at this 2018 show we naturally said yes. The conference enabled us to meet new people and promote our UK wide training services, it soon became apparent that people were unaware that they can complete their safe urban driving training at their own workplace. As well as this we could gauge an understanding of how we can improve the training services that we offer. Ultimately, we want our training services to be as enjoyable and beneficial as possible, delegates were very intrigued at the prospect of us coming to their office to complete safe urban driving training as it would cause minimal disruption to their business.
As well as promoting our training services the Seven Training team will be able to provide delegates with more information about how we can help businesses comply with FORS standards. Part of our group is Seven Asset Management; Seven Asset Management can provide you with vehicles or retrofit existing vehicles to make them compliant with the FORS requirements. As well as being able to provide you with lots of information about the upcoming clean air zones and how you can ensure your fleet does not receive any penalty charges.
The preparations are already well underway to ensure we are ready for the conference, all the necessary equipment and stand décor are being designed and printed ready to exhibit. If you attend the FORS Members Conference in 2018 make sure you come and see the Seven Training team for a cup of coffee or tea and a chat about how our services could help you!
